Purple Pony Creations

Way back on June 2, 2010 (five and a half years ago), I posted about one of my earliest creations: a halter for the Kani Pony mod. I went on to modify that base for every other halter I've made since.

Well...


I'm rebuilding it from the ground up. That is all mesh, except the root prim. I'm going to discontinue versions that haven't sold, or are for avatars that are just not around anymore. I will probably not remake the Kani version, unless it's only for myself (though I don't really even wear my Kani Pony anymore). There's not really a point in building for equine avatars that aren't being used.

The versions I will remake are for the three Raawr heads (Horse/Pony, Heavy Horse, and Mustang), the AVentity, and the three sizes I had for the [EP] Pony.

I will also have some other styles in the works.

The planned launch for at least this version will be when the Moon Kingdom officially reopens in it's new home. Keep an eye on the Shiro Tsuki Facebook for more info, in case I get distracted and forget to update here. (Or I'm between NY and TX, since I'm moving in RL very, very soon...)

So, I finally splurged and bought a ~*Water Horse*~ avatar.

And, because I have this character, Ruby, who is a sorrel unicorn mare, I added a horn and made it her. Which meant buying the Arabian add-on pack... But that wasn't enough, she was a little too light, so I went to The Texture Barn and got the deep sorrel texture pack.

But, of course, I can't stop there... I went to The Pony Store and got three things: The Arabian neck sculpt, the sculpted teeth, and the sculpted tongue.

I added my horn, made it green, added the texture to my tail, made a "mane" until I can make some kind of sculpted thing for it and...


Whee, unicorn. :p

But, of course, I had to make the halter's fit.




I had to borrow a friend to make the draft one, since I couldn't buy the draft version, and I also used her as a model. (Thank you, Fancy!)

But, there you go, my adventures last night. :p

And, the AX horse has an update too, so I'll probably look at that again. ... Maybe just the free update I've apparently gotten, if I can find/get it. Misae crashed when I logged in, so I have to go the the AX store and grab that...

I was determined to finish this one.

As I've previously said, I just love halters on my horse avs. The Uchi Pony... Does not have any made. So I put one together.




Most of the chains are from a kit from [NOVA]. The remaining prims are regular, trusty torus prims, pulled and squished in various ways.


I made it VERY close fitting. My av's muzzle is slightly thinner than the standard size, as well as having taken the cheeks down a bit. But I should be able to scale it up to fit an av that's basically *remove Kani nose, add pony muzzle.*

I've not been this active in SL since I started, and I think this is considerably more than that, since I'd never actually built anything from scratch like this, and my modification ability was... well... undeveloped. I will add some actual textures soon, but for now, it's shiny leather.

I guess I'm finally starting to make the shit I should have made years back. :p
